Defending
Liberty in the New World

PART TWO OF THREE In March, 2000, the media machine introduced gun control as their national agenda. The media attempted to dupe the public into believing that surrendering our guns was a socially responsible gesture along the lines of quitting smoking or being a designated driver. Despite their prior success in changing public attitudes on certain social issues, the massive gun control campaign crossed a sacred line with the general public and sent many anti-gun politicians to the unemployment office. The attempt to disarm Americans did not end there, however. If Americans will not voluntarily disarm, deceptive tactics must be used. By changing many key aspects of what makes a nation sovereign without fanfare or public discourse, the opportunity for disarmament becomes apparent and likely. Clearly an integrated border between three separate nations sets the stage for a new unified government between those nations. One needs only to look at the European Union to see that the integration of North America is merely one aspect of a grand plan. A plan that is being executed without public approval or discussion. Meanwhile, gun-ban groups continue to plod along peddling their stream of lies about firearm ownership and waiting for conditions to ripen. The biggest distinction between the anti-gun hysteria of 2000 and the deceptive tactics of today is that in 2000 Americans knew who wanted their guns and they had an opportunity to take immediate action at the polls. That is not the case of today. As many of our inherent rights -- recognized but not granted by the Bill of Rights -- diminishes via court rulings and legislatives processes Americans do not have a clear method of recourse. It's as if the very concept of liberty is disintegrating before our very eyes. The original intent of the Second Amendment was to defend our nation against a tyrannical government. And yet tyranny has presented itself in a way that we did not expect. Tyranny in this case is not an easily identifiable villain that has imposed himself on the American people through brute force. Rather tyranny seems to be occurring in the very fabric of our government at all levels as a result of greed, corruption, self-interest, and moral relativism. Like fog, it's everywhere but we don't always see it. The United States was born of a nation of Patriots who believed that liberty was as precious as life itself. The time has come for Americans to reaffirm our commitment to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And the sooner we take the time to make American sovereignty a priority, the easier this battle will be won. "We can't expect the American People to jump
from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders
in giving them small does of Socialism, until they awaken one day to
find that they have Communism." Jennifer Freeman
