Comes the Bullet Ban

Gun banners are like the Terminator. They absolutely will not stop. Ever. Until you are disarmed. The recent Supreme Court ruling which confirmed that the Second Amendment is an individual right should have been enough to send gun grabbers packing. But it wasn't. Now they're trying a new strategy. After all, what good is a gun if you don't have any ammunition? The usual suspects in New York and California have introduced legislation that would require you to register your ammunition and would limit the number of rounds you could buy per month. In Albany, New York, "Local Law A," would regulate the storage, possession and sale of ammunition and require dealers to record each ammo sale and the caliber, make and model of the firearm for which the ammo purchase was made. Wanda Willingham, an Albany Democrat and one of the sponsors said before the hearing, that the law would be "a start in regards to saving lives." In the entire history of the United States and the world, there is absolutely no evidence to substantiate Willingham's claim. In fact, mass genocide is always possible when the populace is disarmed. In California, AB962 would make it a crime to privately transfer more than 50 rounds of ammunition per month, even between family and friends, unless you are registered as a "handgun ammunition vendor" in the Department of Justice's database. Ammunition retailers would have to be licensed and store ammunition in such a manner that it would be inaccessible to purchasers. The bill would also require purchasers submit to fingerprinting, which would be submitted to the Department of Justice. Mail order ammunition sales would be prohibited. Clearly, the Bill of Rights is nothing more than a nuisance to the anti-gun Democratic party. The rights and opinions of 80 million gun owners is irrelevant when compared to the opinions of anti-gun lawmakers. The more than 20,000 existing gun laws is nothing more than a good start. The dilemma for gun owners remains the same, however. As long as gun owners continue to elect anti-gun representatives and continue to remain politically uninvolved, your gun rights will remain in jeopardy. As always, calling your representatives to object to these bills is mandatory, but not nearly enough. Many gun owners will never even be aware of these bills until after they are passed. While the media focuses on the same 2-3 news stories every day, anti-gun legislators are secretly whittling away your rights. So what can you do? Call in to talk radio stations. Get on the air and tell people what is going on. Encourage the audience to act. Put your lawmaker's phone number on speed dial. It will almost take an act of congress to prevent an Act of Congress. Get out there. California - Click here to find your senator and representative Albany - Click here to contact your legislators
